Like in many places, waste is a constant issue for the Gili islands. Please help to set a good example by disposing of your rubbish responsibly. Take your rubbish with you from the beach. The sea is not a waste bin or an ashtray. If there are no bins available please take your waste with you until you find one!
Waste on Gili Trawangan
Please do not take plastic bags when you are shopping on Gili Trawangan. Use your own bag or pocket. Get a reusable bag and encourage local people not to offer or use plastic bags.
No dogs, no motorbike, no cars on Gili Trawangan. Help us to achieve No Plastic Bag !
You can also participate to the Clean Up Day on every first Friday of the month.
Be ready to register at any of the dive shops and clean the island with the children from the local school as well as with the support of SATGAS, Desa Gili Indah, FMPL, Remaja Karang Taruna and many more residents and businesses who care. Thus you will get a free dive, do not hesitate any longer !
Next clean up day: Friday 6th January 2012 !
